Little Susie's Cottage ~ Christmas Village Downtown Scenes

More of my Christmas Village.....this time the downtown scenes....

Toy Shoppe's center stage, and the anchor of ''going to take photos with Santa, and ride the train" .....it's just down the snowbank path next to the kids sledding.... ...lol......

Ice Cream Shoppe's on the left side edge of town in my last post, an easy slip-n-slide down the golden ribbon hill, lol.....and

The  Victorian B&B, and houses up the way to your right, take note of the adorable Doggie Parade going past the B&B .....that's another adorable Carole Towne product from Lowes, so cute!.......he always surprises me with more things for my village every year, so we'll see what I get to post this month with new things!............till then, I hope you enjoy the holiday stroll ....

(most of my buildings, the Santa train set, and some of my figurines, people and trees are from the Carole Towne line from Lowe's )

I made the ''north pole'' from a paper towel holder candy candy stripped wrapping paper & 2 silver snowflakes up top...........I love the sweet "ice crystal" looking Rudolph hanging on the side of it, practicing his Santa Sled flying skills for Christmas Eve, lol
I made the "Christmas Trees 'n Wreathes" booth from wooden clothes pins, some cheapy bamboo shish-ka-bob skewers,  and the little green striped awning and sign from index cards and Prisma magic markers.......

I thought it looked adorably cozy with the couple from Carole Towne warming their hands over the fire and sippin' hot cocolate to be 'selling trees 'n wreathes''........the rocks are natural quartz from our yard.......
pretty sparkly trees from Carole Towne line at Lowe's.....
cute vintage glass tree and little man I've had for years........
the windmill was handmade by a korean war vet, who sold it to me for 25cents at his garage sale when he was an 82 yr old widower.....he was so sweet and he wanted me to have all his wive's things...i wanted to take him home too!.........amazingly talented man with a huge heart for his beloved wife.....

kids above taking photos with Santa........and below a little girl with her papa waiting to board the Santa train..........so cute!
Toy Store's in the center of Town...........like it should be.....is there any reason why life should not revolve around toys and candy??? don't think so...........loololol
keeping cozy by the fire.......love the doggie laying down hanging out watching for Santa.....lol....
Doggie Parade!! woof woof woof!!.........lol..........that is so cute...so are those kids sledding, and riding that old fashioned barrel of cheer..........sweet scenes..
woof, woof woof..........lololol....the tartan plaid scottish sweater on the terrior is really cute!

sunrise o're the village..........Santa's coming soon..........

the daddeeeee who raised me from birth was the Fire Cheif, ....he passed last summer and i missed him so much on holidays.............. and my biological father passed in january......missing them both right now,  very hard to loose 2 daddies in one year.....i love this fire station, i grew up with my father's office being inside a fire house, and the fire department, emt, and police scanners on my mother's antique side board in the dining room, blaring out all night.........some times i'd ride with my papa to fires if he was called and i was in the car........and every year we'd ride in the parade in his fire chief car or on one of the fire trucks..........i miss my daddy very much right now and miss talking to him for hours on holidays to keep me company......anyways.....my biological father i never got to meet, he passed this year before we ever met, and he was an artist, so it's rather poignant that my Christmas Village ha a fire house AND the toy shoppe has an art room for kids in it.........sweet..........<3.
I made that cute ''pet 'n feed Santa's Reindeer'' booth, from plastic flower bases, i forget exactly what was on there, because i've long since pulled off the flowers and used them for gawd-knows-what 150 yrs ago.........LOLOLOL....anyways, I stuck them underneath the snow blanket, and the prongs that used to hold fake flowers on them, made for nice ''rustic twigs/branches'' type of fencing for the deer....you can see Santa with his feed bag, talking to the mama and her little boy..........
time to turn out the lights kiddies, and have some sugar plum dreams and wait for Santa's sled jingle bells....

I can hear them over that full moon rising over our little country mountain out back, can you???....lots of pretty clouds out there..........

thank you for taking the Village holiday tour..........love and light ~ Susie <3
